Instructions for subscribing to the Lincoln County Mail List
Type your email address into the box provided and click on the "Subscribe" button.
In the page that comes up make sure that your email address is correct, the click on the "I'm not a robot" checkbox and then on the "Confirm Email Address" button on the groups.io web page that comes up first. If you receive an error message saying the user is already registered, just ignore it. I believe this is a bug in the groups.io processing logic, because if you don't take this step, your account may not be created correctly.
Click on the link that is titled "Log In" that follows the error message. This will bring you to the Login page where you will enter your email address and new password and click on the "Log In" button.
You should receive a "Congratulations" message at this point. You may now change your default Subscription Options on this page and click the "Save" button is you do so.
To complete the registration process, click on "New Topic" in the main menu on the left side of the page. This step is NECESSARY to compete your registration.
In the subject line list the main families you are researching in Lincoln County. In the body of the message you may list additional names or write anything else you want to say to introduce yourself.Click the "Send" button.
Wait for the group Moderator to approve your first message. This should take no longer than 24 hours from the time you sent this email. You will receive an email acknowledging this. Any other messages you send to the group during this time will be held pending this approval.
