U.S. Navy Man Spent Furlough With Parents

Arthur L. Tillotson, who enlisted in the U.S.Navy in September, came home January 15, on a fourteen day furlough surprise visit with home folks. He was met here by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Tillotson, and by his brothers and sisters that night in the home. At a dinner given in his honor Sunday there were present his brother, George and wife and children, Donna Lee and George Wayne, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Teasley and children, Frankie and Gloria, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred McClellan and daughter, Jackie, Mr.and Mrs. Wesley Hawkins and Misses Floy and Roberta, his sisters; Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Hinds, Mr. and Mrs. Wallie Dodson and Ruby June and Linda Lou, Mrs. Daisy Dodson, Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Gladney, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beckman and Kenneth and Charles.
The young man spent the week visiting with his brother and sisters, neighbors and friends. He is stationed at Corpus Christi, Texas, ranking as a first class seaman, and is studying to become an air craft metal smith. He likes the Navy and left Monday to report to the base January 28.
