Our readers will find here an excellent picture of one of Monroe township's rising young Democrats. Mr. SIMPSON was born and raised near Moscow Mills and has had a liberal education and a business training whereby he is well equipped for the office that he proposes to seek in the coming campaign, that of Clerk of the Circuit Court.  He comes from good old Democratic stock and can be depended upon to uphold the faith of his fathers.  He is a young man of good address, of the most sterling integrity and good habits. His campaign, we are satified, will be made along right lines and he will make a good impression wherever he may go.   We bespeak a careful and earnest consideration of his claims at the hands of the Democratic voters of Lincoln county.

Note regarding clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection":  Neva Murphy Hubbard (1886-1971) lived all of her life in Lincoln County, MO.  She collected a large file of clippings of Lincoln County residents. The majority of the clippings were without citation. Beth Rengers Talken, beneficiary of the collection, has transcribed them for inclusion in our Lincoln County Heritage Records.
