Marriage of Ervin C. Dickenhorst and Fannie A. Witt (date
unknown)
No. 173 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of
Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.
Ervin C. DICKENHORST and Miss Fannie A. WITT were married Wednesday afternoon at 3:30
o'clock at the home of the bride's parents by Rev. Mr. D. DUDLEY, in the presence of a few
intimate friends. After the ceremony the bridal couple left for Heber Springs, Ark., where
they will visit the groom's parents, and from there they will take a trip to Buffalo,
Niagara Falls and other eastern points and expect to be away about four weeks. Both young
people are too well known in Troy to need any introduction at our hands. The groom is the
accommodating agent of the St. Louis & Hannibal Railroad and has been in their employ
since childhood, succeeding his father when his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. DICKENHORST,
moved to Arkansas. He is one of Troy's best young men and has the respect and good will of
the entire community. His bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pink WITT and is
loved by all who know her for her sweet disposition and womanly virtues. She will make an
ideal housewife and the Free Press joins their many friends in wishing them success and
happiness in their new state of life. Upon their return they will make their home with the
bride's parents.
