No. 156 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

The wedding of Miss Gilberta POLLARD to Mr. Leroy E. BERKSHIRE, both of Hannibal, occured at that place at _ o'clock Saturday afternoon, December 30th.

The wedding was a quiet affair and a surprise to their friends.

Miss POLLARD was formerly of Moscow Mills, Mo., being the youngest daughter of Mrs. Alice POLLARD, but for the past year and a half has resided in Hannibal. While here she has made many friends both social and also at her place of employment.

Mr. BERKSHIRE is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. BERKSHIRE and holds a good posisiton with the International Shoe Co., of Hannibal.

These are two worthy young people and both have a host of friends who wish them much happiness and prosperity.

After a brief honeymoon trip they returned to 807 Summer St., the home of the groom's parents, where they will reside until their new home is completed.

Note regarding clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection":  Neva Murphy Hubbard (1886-1971) lived all of her life in Lincoln County, MO.  She collected a large file of clippings of Lincoln County residents. The majority of the clippings were without citation. Beth Rengers Talken, beneficiary of the collection, has transcribed them for inclusion in our Lincoln County Heritage Records.
