Obituary for Howard Ulery (d. 1912)
No. 140 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of
Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.
The death angel came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Barret ULERY and took from them their
sweet babe Howard. He was one year, one month and two days old. He suffered intensely, but
God gave him rest August 15, 1912. We know not why God took him from us, for it was hard
to give him up. We did all that loving hands could do but God knew best and called him
higher where we all hope to meet him some day. Let us thank God for his short life for by
it we have a lesson that leads us closer to God and gives us a better conception of his
purpose concerning us. His body sleeps in the Briscoe cemetery to await the resurrection
of the ____st.
