Obituary for A.W. Cooper (1916-1920)
No. 029 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of
Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.
On February 24, 1920, A.W., beloved little son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold COOPER, of Clarksville, fell asleep in the arms of the Saviour who gave him, after a brief illness of twelve days from bronchial pneumonia. He was born December 13, 1916, thus the short span of his life was ended after only three years and two months on this earth. But short through was his stay with his loved ones here, still it was long enough that his sweet baby ways had endeared him beyond measure to the heart of those to whom God gave him, and these hearts are desolate because he could not stay with them longer. But the Heavenly Father needed another precious jewel for his crown so He took this dear baby to be at home with Him.
A.W. is survived by his mother and father and baby brother, and by a large number of other relatives. After brief funeral services at the family home his little body was laid to rest in the Clarksville cemetery. May God in his infinite wisdom speak comfort to all those who are so deeply bereaved. --J.C.W.
