Obituary for Anna Capple (1870-1920)
No. 021 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

Mrs. Anna CAPPLE was born Feb. 8, 1870, in Green county, Ill., and departed this life Feb. 8, 1920, after a short illness of pneumonia. She was married to Antone CAPPLE in the year 1892. To this union were born eight children, John who preceded his mother to the Eternal Home only two weeks, Mrs. Gena HARRELL of Moscow Mills, Mrs. Edith HARRELL of Troy and Fred, Clarence, Lucille Earl and Roy at home. Besides her sorrowing husband and children there remain to mourn her departure three brothers and three sisters, Joseph and Gessman OZBURN of Carrollton, Ill., Mrs. Carrie WELGE of Raymond, Ill., Mrs. Lizzie JARRARD of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Emma OZBURN and Henry OZBURN of Murrayville, Ill., besides a host of relatives and friends. She was a devoted wife and a kind and loving mother whose place can never be taken by another. She was always willing and good to help others and was a friend to all.

Gone our beloved
Home to yon bright world on high
Home to the Saviour
Nevermore to die,
In that world of beauty
Not a tear or sigh is known;
There our loved one dwelleth
Round the Saviour's throne.

We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to our neighbors and friends for their kindness during the illness and death of our dear wife and mother. Your kindness and sympathy will never be forgotten. -- Antone CAPPLE and Children.

Note regarding clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection":  Neva Murphy Hubbard (1886-1971) lived all of her life in Lincoln County, MO.  She collected a large file of clippings of Lincoln County residents. The majority of the clippings were without citation. Beth Rengers Talken, beneficiary of the collection, has transcribed them for inclusion in our Lincoln County Heritage Records.
