Many of the older generation, who attended Troy Grade School Troy, Mo., including myself, had Miss Mary Cottle as their teacher. She stood and read the Bible to the class every day when she taught the 5th grade class. I shall always be thankful for having had her as one of my teachers. jg.

Mary Elvira Cottle was the 3rd child of Wm. Martial & Sarah Elizabeth (Brown ) Cottle b. 13 Apr. 1899 Moscow Mills, Mo. d. 6 June 1987 md. 1. 12 Jan. 1917 F.D. Weston, md. 2 14 July 1957 Omer Hayden Turnbull s/o Richard & Mary Lee LaRue Turnbull. Is buried at Troy City Cemetery Troy, Mo. ]
