LEWIS FINLEY BROWN b: 1887 s/o James Franklin BROWN and Sarah Emaline "Emma" HINDS married LENA FRANCES SPRINGSTON b: 1892 d/o Edgar Hatfield SPRINGSTON and Martha Jane "Mattie" WATTS.  Lewis' mother died when very small and he was reared by Thomas East MORRIS and his wife Ida HOWDESHELL MORRIS.  Mother said that Emaline HINDS BROWN died in Saline Co, MO and James Franklin BROWN came back to Lincoln Co and found homes for all of their children.   After the death of his wife, he sent his children to live with and be reared by relatives "families" and headed west.
