Sylvester Stubbs Coen was born in 1858 in Franklin Co., Indiana, a son of Israel Bernard Coen and Ann Stubbs. The photo is annotated "S. S. Coen" and may refer to Salathiel Coen (whose middle initial is not known), not Sylvester Coen.
