Houston, Minnick

Left to right: James H. Houston, born April 8, 1850 in Jackson Township, Livingston Co., Missouri. He married Fredonia Jane French (1852 - 1896) in 1873 in Livingston Co. Fredonia died in 1896. James married second, in 1898, Bessie Alice Carlow, born in 1879. The man standing in back is identified only as J. Minnick. Based on his apparent age with relation to the others in this photo, this might be James M. Minnick (1826 - 1916), James Washington Minnick (1841- ), or John Minnick (1842 - 1930). The woman is identified only as M. J. She is possibly Margaret Jane Ragan (1857 - 1934) who married (1) James Jackson Tye on December 12, 1874 and married (2) Alexander Litton on March 24, 1897. This woman might also be Mary Jane Minnick (1839 - 1868) who married John A. Houston on March 12, 1857 in Daviess Co.
