David and William Heath

Reverend David M. Heath (right) was born October 17, 1817 in Cabell Co., (West) Virginia. He married (1st) Letha Zetta McComas and had three children, including Reverend William Redmond Heath, shown at left. William was born July 10, 1842 in Platte County, Missouri. William married Emily Salmon. Both father and son were preachers in Daviess Co. Rev. David Heath was instrumental in starting the Methodist Episcopal Church in Daviess County along with the Heath School and the Heath Chapel and cemetery at Pattonsburg. Both Rev. David and his son Rev. William Heath are buried in the Heath Cemetery.
