I am searching the
ancestors of Calvin Newport, wife Marget Abels. Would like to tie in to
Christopher Newport, of Virginia in Jamestowne, whose ship the Susan
Constant brought John Smith to Jamestowne. Am searching descendants of
Christopher Newport to Calvin Newport and on down to Leota Newport Davis,
my grandmother. We know the history ties in, but am having trouble
finding it from Calvin back to Christopher, a founding
father. I have located Calvin

served with Federal troops in 24th Missouri Volunteers, Company B,
wounded at Battle of Pea Ridge, Ark. March 9, 1862, later a judge in Dallas County. I would very much appreciate information,

Paul Jones b.1846 in Pittsburgh, PA. who, after being released
after serving in the Civil War homesteaded on 30 acres in
Buffalo, Dallas County, in MO. I have no record of him for
30 years while he was there. Did he marry? Was there some kind
of catastrophe? During that time two of his nephews went to
work for him for a few years, but we have no knowledge of what
happened and why. He returned to his brothers home in Stewart
Sta. PA in 1898 and resided there til his death in 1917.

b.1857 and either Mary America Dill b. 1869 or Hannah Dill b. 1871. What
I am guessing happened is that Samuel married Hannah Dill first, she had
the first 6 kids, then died. Samuel then married Mary America, and child
7 in Arkansas. Looking for infor regarding the death of Hannah Dill and
marriage info for both women. Children were born between 1885 and
1900.

1876 in Long Lane, Dallas Co., MO. Married Susannah Owenby. I am looking
for information about his ancestors. His father's name was Jeremiah who
