DEATHS

Lily Virginia Henderson

Lily Virginia Barnhart was born June 16, 1865 near Strafford in Webster county and died July 7, 1942, at the home of her son, Dread Henderson, near Buffalo, Mo., at the age of 77 years and 21 days.

On Jan. 23, 1887, she was united in marriage to J. T. Henderson. To this union ten children were born. Her husband and two infant sons preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter and seven sons: Della Stidham, Tunas, Mo.; Arthur Henderson, Winfield, Kan.; Edgar Henderson, Plad; George Henderson, Beaumont, Kan.; Dread Henderson, Buffalo; Robert Henderson, Plad; Fred Henderson, Winfield, Kan.; Eddie Henderson, Tulsa, Okla; 28 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; two sisters: Ida Williams of Davenport, Okla., and Fannie Brown of Buckner, Mo.; four brothers, Walter Barnhart of Elkland, Sam Barnhart of Scott City, Kan., Lem Barnhart of San Fernando, Calif., and Albert Barnhart of Dextrel, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

At the age of 17 years she professed a hope in Christ at Pleasant Hill Baptist church and united with the church there where she remained true and faithful to her church and Lord till death called.

Aunt Lilly as everyone called her, was a friend to all and loved by all. She will be sadly missed in her community and church but our loss is Heaven's gain.

Rev. J. B. Smith conducted funeral services Wednesday at 3:30 p. m. at Kirk's Chapel. Burial followed there under direction of L. B. Jones.

DEATHS

James P. Cline

James P. Cline, son of Isaac and Paula Ann Cline, was born April 24, 1863. He was united in marriage to Barbara Stever Aug. 19, 1882. To this union eight children were born, four having preceded him in death, namely, Susie Florence, Ruby Jewel and Alice who all grew to womanhood, and one infant son.

The surviving children are James W. Cline, Noah Cecil Cline, Minnie Brooks and Margaret Reichle. There are also 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

He was a member of Center Point Baptist church and had been a devout Christian for about 50 years.

He is survived by the widow, Barbara, the above named children and grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

He passed away Saturday night about 8 p. m. at the home 8 miles south of Buffalo.

Funeral services were conducted by Eld. J. C. Pinkley at Center Point Monday, Oct. 26, at 2:00 p. m. Interment was in Green Mountain cemetery under direction of L. B. Jones.
