A great resource for Dallas County, Missouri, genealogy and history is the MODALLAS RootsWeb email list. You have your choice of a "mail mode" or "digest mode" version. With the "mail mode" version you will receive every posting made to MODALLAS as a separate e-mail. With the "digest mode" version you will receive several postings made to MODALLAS consolidated together a single message every few days. If your ISP restricts the number of emails you can receive, this might be the better option.
To subscribe to the "digest mode" version, send a message to:
that contains subscribe in the Subject line of the message.
To unsubscribe from the list in either mode send a message to:
that contains unsubscribe in the Subject line of the message.
To change your email address, configure your email program to say the message is from your old address, then unsubscribe. Next, change your email program to say the message is from your new address, then subscribe.
