In Memory of Mrs. Walter Viers
Margaret E. Irwin was born near Zanesville Ohio, December 19, 1843.
At the age of sixteen she moved with her parents to Lewis County, Mo., where she lived until she was mar-ried to Walter Viers March 10, 1864 and lived near Fairmont Mo. until 1898 when she moved with her family and settled on a farm near Lahoma Okla. In 1906 she moved to Enid Okla until the death of her husband Sept-ember 2, 1916. She then lived with her daughter Mrs. Ida Vandeventer, Mountainview Okla. until her death. February 18, 1920 age 76 years 2 months.
To this union were born nine children, five girls, and four boys. The oldest daughter Martha died when only six weeks old, another daughter Mrs. Bertha Skaggs died five years previous to her mother. Mrs. Viers leaves to mourn her loss three daugh-ters and four sons Mrs. Isa Vande-venter, Mountainview, Okla. Mrs. Zetie Haines, Gage Okla. Mrs Ida Black, Wyaconda Mo. Mr. E. S. Viers, Lawton Okla. Mr. B. F. Viers, Clovis, N M. Mr W. T. Viers, Hayward, Okla. Mr. T. J. Viers Grimes` Okla. One brother Mr. John W. Irwin Labeller Mo. Twenty three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A number of other relatives and a large' circle of friends.
The deceased had been a member of the Baptist Church for 45 years holding her membership at the First Baptist Church of Enid, Okla. at the time of her death.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Porter pastor of the First Baptist Church Enid, Okla. She was laid to rest. by the side of her husband in the Enid Cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
