Charles M. Reed Obituary

Charles M. Reed, of Luray, Mo., died at the home of Mrs. Mallica Roberts near Wayland, Mo., Mar 31, 1924, at 8:30 p. m., at the age of 83 years, and 15 days.

Charles M. Reed was born in Cleveland, Ohio, May 13th, 1842. He was married to Sarah Jones of Athens, Mo., April 6, 1865. To this union four children were born, three having preceded him in death. One son, Harry, of Luray, with his wife survive.

Mr. Reed served in the Civil War for two years and eight months.

Funeral services were conducted at the Luray Methodist Protestant church, Monday, June 2nd

The body was placed in the west (Combs) cemetery, there to wait the summons of God. We commend the bereaved to the God of all grace, and pray theirs may be a happy reunion in the sweet bye and bye.
