Departed this life at his home in Luray, Mo., Feb. 27,1924, at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 29 days. He was married to Rozilla Thomas of Licksway Co., Ohio, October 1, 18". To this union God blessed six children, all of whom survive their devoted father, this being the first death in this immediate family. The children are as follows: E. G. Dennison, East St. Louis; F. J Dennison, Ft. Madison, Iowa; W. H. Dennison, Luray, Mo.; E. H. Dennison, Downing, Mo.; Mrs. Lizzie Ostrich and Mrs. Winnie Buckley, both of Luray, Mo.

Mr. Dennison moved to Clark Co., Mo., Jan. 1, 1879, and had since lived in Cleric Co., up to the time of his departure. He was a true patriot and enlisted at Mt. Sterling, Ohio, in Co. G., 118th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, August 12,1862; he was in a number of battles and skirmishes. God spared him, and on July 10, 1865, be was honorably discharged. He has fought his earthly battle, and we believe be has come forth victoriously, and now is at rest from the toils, troubles and sorrows of life. None will deny him the peace be now enjoys. Those left to mourn the loss of a precious loved one, besides the broken hearted and sorrowful wife, who mast now give up a companion of 55 years of married life, the six now fatherless children, 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, other near relatives, and a host of friends and neighbors. Thos ends the fife history of one who was devoted to his country, to his home, and to his community, in which he lived.

The funeral services were held in the Luray M. E. church, where a large, sympathetic audience of friends had gathered to pay their last respects, and the very large assortment of flowers too were evidence of the high esteem in which he was
held by his fellow men. Interment was made in the Luray cemetery. (Combs). Wm. Rebman
