By the Governor of the State of Missouri
Whereas it has been represented to me that, on the night of the 16th
of December A.D. 1842, one Augustine Wolfe made his escape from the jail
of Camden county, in which he was confined under a charge of having
murdered one Protector Caps,
Now, therefore, I, John C. Edwards by virtue of authority in me vested
by law, do hereby offer a reward of Two Hundred Dollars for the
apprehension of the said Augustine Wolfe and his delivery to the Sheriff
of Camden County.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be
affixed the Great Seal of State; done at the City of Jefferson this 22d
day of March A.D. 1845
