| Headline | Vera Wormington Dies Here Today Was Lifelong Stotts City, Monett Resident |
| Text | Mrs. Vera Wormington, 78, of Stotts City died at 1:25 a. m. today in St. Vincent's Hospital following a lengthily illness. Born near Monett the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eli Cox she had lived all her life in the Monett and Stotts City communities. She was a member of the East View Methodist Church near Stotts City. Survivors include her husband, Homer Wormington; a son, Leon Wormington of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Taunton of Wentworth, and Mrs. A. B. Field of Lee's Summit; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the East View Methodist Church with Rev. Lloyd Wasson officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery under direction of the Bennett - Wormington Funeral Home.
