Abstract Helen Grace Wormington, 84, of Monett, died at 7:30 a.m. today, December 14, at Lacoba Nursing Center in Monett following a long illness. Mrs. Wormington was born September 8, 1917, in Monett, the daughter of Henry and Elva Malan Avondet. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Site Baptist Church in Monett. She married Austin Wormington on September 11, 1937, in Marionville, and he preceded her in death April 16, 1995. Survivors include two sons, two daughters, four brothers, four sisters, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Easson. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, at New Site Baptist Church in Monett with Rev. Aaron Weibel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. |
