| Text | Abstract Jewell Wooten, 86, of Exeter, died at 11:55 p.m. July 2, 1999, at her daughter's home in Exeter following a long illness. Mrs. Wooten was born November 20, 1912, in Cassville, and was a daughter of Jim and Dora (Turner) Lauderdale. She was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Exeter and attended Gospel Tabernacle in Joplin. She married Rev. James M. Wooten on January 12, 1936, in Cassville, and he preceded her in death November 26, 1979. She was preceded in death by two sons, Carroll Wooten in 1978 and James Wooten; and seven brothers. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, July 7, at Williamson Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Jack Sanders and Rev. Dean Clemmer officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 6, at the funeral home. |
