Dies This Morning Final Rites Thursday At Baptist Church |
Text | Charles E. Woolsey, 67 year-old Frisco brakeman, died at 11:08 a. m. today at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Monett following a month’s illness. The well-known Monett railroader, who resided at 900 Seventh street, had been employed by the Frisco for 45 years. He was born June 18, 1888 in Pierce City and moved to Monett with his family as a child. On Oct. 11, 1935, he was married to Goldia Terpening at Prairie Grove, Ark. Mr. Woolsey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett and Monett Masonic Lodge 129, AF&AM. Surviving are his wife, Goldia of the home: a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Boyd of North Sacramento, Calif. Two brothers, A. L. Woolsey of Monett and Claude Woolsey of Palmetto, Fla; a sister, Mrs. J. L. Jeffries of Monett, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, in Monett with Rev. W. J. Oldham, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery under direction of Mercer Funeral Home. |
