She had been in failing health for some time but was unable to be up and around previous to the morning of her sudden passing. She was born in Monroe county, Tenn. October 3, 1847, and moved to Arkansas in 1856. A short time after moving to Arkansas she was married to A.N. Woody and they moved to Cassville in 1866. She was the mother of Mrs. George Kring of near Cassville and Mrs. Perry Maddox of the state of Idaho, who mourn her passing. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Dan Dockey of near Carthage, Mo., and Mrs. Chas. Grubbs, of Tribby, Okla. Mrs. Woody was a consistent member of the Presbyterian Church and had been for many years. She was an excellent woman and leaves many friends who mourn her untimely passing. Impressive funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church in this city, by Rev. L.E. Mitchell, Saturday, May 23, 1925, after which her remains were interred in Oak Hill cemetery. Research Note: Missouri Death Cert. # 14213-a Name Eliza A.
