Obituary: Polly Woodward was born in Ray County, Tennessee, Feb 10th, 1837. Died Dec. 2nd 1911, aged 74 years, 9 months and 22 days. She leaves four sisters, Mrs. Jane Howerton of Purdy, Elizabeth, Dorcas and Tennessee of Exeter, besides a large number of relatives. She was converted in early life and joined the New Hope Baptist Church, afterwards transferred for membership to the Liberty Hill Church. She loved her church and all Christian people and said during her sickness that she wanted her friends to meet her in Heaven. Her remains were laid to rest in the Concord Cemetery, Dec 3rd, 1911, there to await the resurrection morning. |
