Text | Frank Woodruff, age 80, of Monett, died at 5:50 p.m. yesterday, May 7, at Monett Health Care in Monett following a long illness. Mr. Woodruff was born October 21, 1919, in Poteau, Oklahoma, and was a son of William W. and Susie (Davis) Woodruff. He was a retired pipefitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 178 in Springfield. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Monett. He married Ardis "Tink" Lemings on July 2, 1950, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Survivors include two daughters, of Purdy and of Monett; one step-son, of Spencer, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, of Purdy, of Monett, of Cassville, of Springfield, of Spencer, Oklahoma; and eight great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Mark Mildren officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, May 9, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of the Ozarks. |
