Obit For Peter Wolf

Text Death claimed the life of Peter Wolf at his home in Corsicana, Wednesday morning, Jan. 27. He was born at Gnadden Hutton, Ohio, Oct 20, 1865. His parents came to Lawrence County, Missouri in 1888 where he joined them and lived until 1919. He then moved to Barry County where he resided the remainder of his life.

In 1898 he enlisted in the Spanish-American War and served in Company F Second Regiment Mo. Volunteer Infantry. He served two years for his country. He was a member of the Evangical Church.

He was married to Miss Louetta Hopkins of Pineville, Mo., in 1902 and to this union seven children were born, one dying in infancy. Those surviving besides his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Gerald Moyer of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Sam Boedecker of Monett, Mo., Mrs. Loren Miller of Carthage, Mo., Mrs. Robert Kingsbury of Carthage, Mo.; two sons, Warner, at home and John of Monett; nine grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Jake Buehler of Mt. Vernon, Mo., Mrs. Wm. Broder of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Gus Parish of Gnaden, Hutten, Ohio; two brothers, Charles Wolf of Verona, and Jake Wolf of Springfield. He has a number of nieces and nephews and leaves a host of friends to mourn his death.
