| Text | Lydia Ann Mills, daughter of Alfred and Lydia Mills, was born January 12, 1868, Near Des Moines, IA and departed this life June 16, 1946, at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 4 days. She was married December 26, 1888 to James Wiseley who preceded her in death, on April 14, 1935. She leaves to mourn her passing eight children; Jess, Roe, Leonard and Melvin of Cassville; Elbert and Arthur of Tulsa, OK; Nora Shores of Cassville and Mabel Hemphill of Jasper; also one step-daughter, Bertha Brown of Butterfield, and one sister, Mrs. Clara Gregory of Kansas City, MO and one brother Dave Mills of Cassville, and 17 grandchildren, besides a host of friends. She was a follower of the Quaker faith and lived her religion every day. She was always a dependable help in time of need and enjoyed her friends very much. She will be sadly missed by her children and all who knew her. Funeral services were held at Oak Ridge Monday afternoon by Rev. Frank Reynolds. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Culver Funeral Home. |
