Text | Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Jane (Cargile) Williams who died yesterday, will be held in the Church of God, Fourth and Madison tomorrow at 2 p.m. The Reverend Tom Hackett will be in charge and burial will take place in La Harpe Cemetery. (LaHarpe, Kansas) Mrs. Williams died after a short period of declining health. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John W. Fine at the age of 89 years. She was born in Washburn, Missouri and had been living with her daughter for some time. Her late husband, Chastain Williams preceded her in death in 1915. Mrs. Williams leaves behind besides Mrs. Fine, Mrs. (Edna) J. W. Stout of Lone Elm, Mrs. (Emma) W. B Fielding of Wichita, KS. Two other daughters, live outside Kansas, Mrs. (Martha) J. A. Root of OK., and Mrs. (Christine) W. Gilbert of CA. Five Great-Great Grandchildren also survive. Research Note: Nancy was buried in the LaHarpe Cemetery, and has a handmade stone. Her daughters Emma, and Christine lived past the age of 90. The words in the brackets were added to the obit. |
