Text | Cyntha Jane Williams, was born in Lawrence County on Buck Prairie November 1, 1846 and was married to Elias W. Williams March 6, 1864. To this union was born eleven children, six and her husband having preceded her in death. The five living are: Mrs. May Hagarty of East St. Louis, Ill., Allen of Lake Worth, Fla., Mrs. Ella Suttles of Jenkins, Bert, with whom she has lived since her husband's death, and Mrs. Ula Cobb of Aurora. She also raised two stepchildren that she loved as her own, one having preceded her in death, the other John T. of Gotebo, Okla.; thirty-eight grand children, forty great grand children, twelve great-great grand children; also two brothers, G. W. Lemaster of Webb City, Van Lemaster of Marionville; two half sisters and two half brothers, Mrs. Rhodena Davis of Golden, Mo., Mrs. Isabelle Williams of Arkansas, Nat Lemaster of Fairland, Okla., and Abe Lemaster of California survive. Early in life she joined the Christian Church and lived a devoted Christian life until death. She departed this life November 5, 1928 being 82 years and 4 days old. She will be sadly missed in the home and community where she has lived the past 64 years. Her life was devoted to her home and family. |
