| Text | R. T. Wilks of Verona, 39 years of age and married, was struck by lightning Wednesday of last week and instantly killed. He was superintending the laying of new rails between Verona and Monett. At the close of the day's work at Globe he telephoned into the depot at Verona to know if the track was clear. He was in the act of hanging up the receiver when the bolt struck the wire three-quarter of a mile away. Mt Verona Chieftain |
