Text | Mrs. Mary Wiles died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. I.A. Doyel of Purdy Saturday, December 21,at the age of 77 years. The funeral was held at the Methodist church in Exeter on Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. Gray of Monett. Burial was made in the Maplewood cemetery at Exeter under direction of the Blankenship funeral service.
Mrs. Wiles was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Titus Jessop and was born in Illinois, Nov. 9, 1852. her husband, Charles Wiles, died about a year ago. She had been living with Mrs. Doyel since last, June. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C.C. Lights of Crane; Mrs. Doyel of Purdy, Mrs. Mary Harris and Mrs. John Bibb of Exeter and one son, Chris Wiles of Crane. At the funeral the flower girls were Misses Lola Lane, Margaret Mitchell, Ruth Browning and Rowena Kelly, Mrs. Ruth Howard and Mrs. Beatrice Horton. The Pall bearers were Elbert Goodnight, Truman Thompson, Galyen Counts, Oris Counts, Will Counts and Virgil Rhea - Monett Times |
