Text | The Rev. George W. Wierman, 82 year old resident of rural Cassville, died Monday morning after an illness of several months. He was born in the state of Kentucky on July 16, 1878, and had been a resident of this area since he was two years old. He had retired from the Baptist ministry two years ago. He is survived by six sons, Oscar Wierman and Wilbur Wierman, both of Exeter, Luther Wierman of the Jenkins community; Dick Wierman of Cassville, Clyde Wierman of Webb City, and Carl Wierman of Willits, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ed Writer of Jenkins, Mrs. Samuel Johnson of Wentworth, and Miss Lyda Wierman of the home; one brother, John Wierman of Union Gap, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Patsy Jones of Belfair, Wash.; 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon in Culver chapel, with the Rev. Charles Vansandt officiating. Burial will be in Sparks cemetery. |
