Merwin was born in New York State, Nov. 12 1837. Died at the home of her daughter Mrs. W. A. Florey, in Exeter, Mo. Oct. 17, 1936, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 5 days. She moved with her parents, at an early age, to Hillsdale, Michigan, where she was united in marriage to Rev. Henry C. Wells, January 22, 1856. To this union nine children were born, four of whom are living, who are Willis T. Wells, Catoosa Okla., Mrs. F. H Wage, Lincoln, Neb., Rev. He. Wells, Dunsmeir, Cal., and Mrs. W. A. Florey of Exeter, Mo. Her husband and five children precede her. She was converted at the age of 16 years and united with the M. E. Church of which she remained a faithful member. She leaves 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Florey on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 19, 1926, by Rev.
