Text | Cecil L. Wells, 69, of Shell Knob, died June 28, 2002, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Mr. Wells was born October 7, 1932, in Goltry, Oklahoma, and was a son of David Eugene and Frankie (Strait) Wells. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a mechanic in an auto dealership in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and a district distributor for MAC tools in Enid, Oklahoma. He owned RV Service Center and later a John Deere Lawn and Garden dealership. He retired in 1999 and moved to Shell Knob. He was a member of Elks Lodge 706, American Legion, and Trinity Presbyterian Church in Shell Knob. He married his wife, Myrna, on June 29, 1975, in Newton, Kansas. Services were 10 a.m. today, July 1, at Williamson Chapel in Shell Knob with Rev. Denzel Nonhoff officiating. Burial was in Painter Cemetery in Shell Knob under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Shell Knob. Memorials may be made to First Responders or the church. |
