Abstract William H. "Dick" Webb, 91, of Cassville, died December 17 at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville. Mr. Webb was born March 23, 1910, in Pea Ridge, Arkansas, the son of Albert and Lottie Putnam Webb. He started Webb Oil Company along with his brother in Barry County and sold the company in 1963. He worked as a real estate broker and was a developer in Wildwood Estates and Roaring River Hills. He was the first mayor of Seligman. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Cassville. He married Irene E. Mount on April 13, 1935, in Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and she preceded him in death March 4, 1994. Survivors include one daughter, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Bill Webb; one brother, John Webb; and two sisters, Vasta and Lucille. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 21, at the First Christian Church in Cassville with Rev. Sid Allsbury officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. tomorrow, December 20, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church building fund. |
