Text | Albert B. Webb, 68 years old, a retired farmer, school teacher, and Benton county, Arkansas tax collector, died Friday in the local hospital, following a brief illness. He had resided in Seligman the last seven years. A native of Benton county, he served as county tax collector from 1916 to 1920. He was a resident of the Pea Ridge community most of his life. His membership in the Baptist church was at Jasper. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vasta Hagood of Washburn, and Mrs. David Rurey of Portland, Ore.; two sons; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Mitchell and Mrs. Willie Gowan of Seligman; his father, Tom F. Webb of Seligman, and eight brothers, Frank of Washburn, Ernest, Todd, Oscar, Pete, and Ed, all of Pea Ridge, Steve of Tulsa, Okla., and Hugh of Seligman. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon in the Seligman Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Larkin. Burial was made in the Seligman cemetery under direction of the Miller funeral home of Pea Ridge. |
