Obit For John W. Weaver
Headline John W. Weaver Dead:
Text Uncle John Weaver died Monday night, Sept. 23, 1907, after a long and painful illness, stretching and painful illness through many years. Ever since he came out of the army he has been practically an invalid. No one who saw him shaking with palsy, will forget the old gentle man, and how patiently and cheerfully he bore it all.

His intelligence in matters in general and in religion in particular made him an interesting man to talk to and be with.

He reached the advanced age of 72 years, six months and fourteen days, was a soldier and drew a large pension.

Mrs. Burkhart of Joplin, and Mrs. Jack Smith, daughters, with his wife, were at the funeral, yesterday, at his late residence. Eld. Prewitt officiating. A couple of Mormon Elders were also present, the friends of Mrs. Weaver, who also assisted in the services.

The interment was in Maple Park. Old comrades of the Grand Army acted as pall bearers - Aurora Argus.

Mr. Weaver was a resident of this city several years ago and moved from this place to Aurora where he has since resided. He was a good citizen and a member of the Christian Church. Mrs. C. G. Kelley of near Eagle Rock was his daughter.
