Text | Lewis Watson, an old time and highly respected citizen, residing three miles north of Seligman, fell dead at his home, last Wednesday, a victim of apoplexy. Mr. Watson had been ill about one week, but not seriously. He was reported to be feeling some better on the day came like a flash as he was conversing with his family in their home, according to reports. He was a native of Kansas, and come to that section of the county 10 or 12 years ago, where he had resided since. He was known to be a hard working farmer and a good citizen. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his passing. Interment was made the following day in the New Salem cemetery near Seligman. Research Note: Name spelled Louis on his tombstone.
