| Text - Outline | Juanita “Pearl” Vanderpool, age 82, of Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in her home. She was born May 30, 1927, in Butterfield, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Hilburn) Priest. In 1943, she was united in marriage to Earl Vanderpool, who preceded her in death on July 9, 1994. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Murl Priest. She is survived by four sons, of Grove, Oklahoma, of Kansas City, Kansas, and his wife, of Hutchison, Kansas and and his wife, of Grove, Oklahoma; one daughter, and her husband, of Fairland, Oklahoma; one sister, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Pearl, as most people knew her, received her education in Barry County. She spent most of her adult life in Ulysses, Kansas where she was a homemaker. She moved to Exeter in 1990 and then in 2007 she moved to Kansas City, Kansas, to live with her son, Kenneth. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 7, 2009, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell will conduct the services. Burial will be in Russell Cemetery, Butterfield.
