Obit For John L. Tucker

Text John L. Tucker, age 74, of Exeter, passed away Sunday morning June 17, 1990 in his home.

He was born on April 14, 1916 in Barry County, the son of Elmer and Lena (Davidson) Tucker. On October 17, 1936, in Barry County, he was united in marriage to Ellen Barr.

Also surviving are two sons, one daughter, one brother, two sisters, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Tucker received his education at Exeter. He remained living at Exeter where he was in the electrical business since 1956, from which he was semi-retired.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Exeter. He was also a member of the Cassville Lions Club, served on the Exeter School Board and the Cassville Golf Club Board.

Funeral services were held at 11 am Wednesday morning, June 20 at the Fohn funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Neeley and the Rev. Harold Hook conducted the services. Music was provided by the Good News Quartet, accompanied by Carol House. Selections were "I'll Fly Away" and "One Day At A Time".

Casket bearers were grandsons. Honorary bearers were Marlee Edie, J. C. Duncan, Spiz Stevens, Clate Metcalf, Kenneth Woolley, Bob Odem, Sherrell Cassity, Ken House and Kyle Bernard.

Those who wish may make contributions to the Hospice of Southwest Missouri. They may be sent or taken to the family or Fohn Funeral Home.
