Text | Artie Grace Tucker, age 99, of Clearwater, Kansas, formerly of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011, in Clearwater Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born February 8, 1912, in Exeter, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Moore) Haddock. On January 27, 1934, she was united in marriage to George Reams and to this union three children were born. George preceded her in death on December 5, 1985. In 1988, she married Tom Tucker, who passed away on August 24, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Ray Reams; six sisters and four brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Karen Belgard and her husband, Tom of San Diego, California and Ruby Ryherd and her husband, Marvin of Haysville, Kansas; one sister, Mary Butler of Carthage, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Artie grew up and received her education at Exeter, graduating from Exeter High School. For several years she was employed as an office clerk for the Sedgwick County Assessor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Haysville, Kansas. She was an avid reader and she liked to write. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 28, 2011, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Russ Ryherd will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. |
