Mrs. Emily Tucker was born Oct. 6, 1855. She departed this life Feb. 3, 1929 at her home above Eagle Rock, at the age of 73 year, three months and 28 days. She was married to Frank Tucker over 50 years ago, and had lived in that sectional her life. To this union were born eleven children, nine of whom survive her. She was converted early in life and united with the Baptist church. She lived a consistent Christian life, was a good kind-hearted mother and was loved by all who know her. She leaves to mourn her death nine children, fifty-two grandchildren, twenty- nine great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted Monday. Afternoon at the Muncey schoolhouse near Eagle Rock by Rev. A.J. Baker, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
