Text | Dell Ray Trogdon, 54, of Monett, died at 9:28 a.m. yesterday, May 5, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, following a sudden illness. Mr. Trogdon was born May 24, 1944, in Bois D'Arc, the son of Delmar and Lena (Owens) Trogdon. He was a long time resident of Purdy and Monett and was employed as a warehouse supervisor for EFCO Corporation in Monett. He was married to Judy Clayton. He then married Jeannie Terry in 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma, and she survives. Additional survivors include one son, Matt Trogdon of Monett; one step- son, Scott Seitz of Kansas City; one brother, Junior Berry of Dothan, Alabama; two sisters, Alma Freoff of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, and Ilene Cherry of Santa Barbara, California; one grandchild, and three step- children. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will be in Arnhart Cemetery near Purdy under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, May 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Association. |
