Text | William "Leon" Tillman, 77, of Exeter, died June 30 at his home. Mr. Tillman was born May 11, 1925, in Garfield, Arkansas, the son of Sherman and Rosa (Lane) Tillman. He was a self-employed cleaner of septic tanks, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Erwin-Easley Post 112 Cassville American Legion, and a Baptist. He married Wilma Dean Michael, and she preceded him in death November 26, 1993. Survivors include two sons, of Exeter and of Little Rock, Arkansas; one daughter, of Decator, Arkansas; four brothers, Garfield, Arkansas, of Rogers, Arkansas, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and of Pineville; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and four step-great grandchildren. Graveside services were 10 a.m. today, July 2, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter with Brother Doyle Russell officiating under the direction of Wheaton Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to South Barry County Hospice or Barry County Senior Citizens Center in Cassville. |
