Text Patricia Ann “Pat” Tichenor, age 76, of Cassville, Missouri, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, December 3, 2013.

She was born May 13, 1937, in Butterfield, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Reva (Hopkins) McGruder. She married Lloyd Tichenor and to this union four children were born. Surviving are her children, Kim Kenney and her husband, Mike of Cassville, Missouri, Kelly Brown and her husband, Larry of Fairview, Missouri, Kay McCullah and her husband, Doug of Cassville, Missouri and Greg Tichenor of Cassville, Missouri; three sisters, Carolyn Carder and her husband, Bob of Pierce City, Missouri, Johnnie Edie and her husband, Marlee of Cassville, Missouri and Connie Forgey and her husband, Jack of Cassville, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Charla Miles, Carmen Thompson, Cindy Wilson, Casey Brown, Clay Brown, Clint McCullah, Matt McCullah, Hilary Hilburn and Vincent Tichenor and fourteen great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Ellen McNabb.

Pat, as most people knew her received her education at Exeter and was Valedictorian of the 1955 graduating class. She then attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri. In 1983, she moved from Wheaton, Missouri to Cassville, Missouri and worked for Barry County Health Department for twenty-five years. She later worked with Cassville Wal-Mart for seven years. She was a charter member and co-founder of American Cowboys Rodeo Association, founding board member of Tri County Health, now Access Family Care, with the dental wing in honor of Pat and a member of Cassville First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 7, 2013, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Maplewood Cemetery in memory of Pat.
