Text | Linda Thomas, age 71, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away in her home on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Mrs. Thomas, daughter of William and Thelma (Lawrence) House, was born on November 8, 1944, in Cassville. Mrs. Thomas was a 1962 Cassville High School graduate. On September 4, 1964, she was united in marriage to Clyde Thomas in Butterfield. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed bowling for many years; she was involved in many tournaments and earned several trophies. She loved animals and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Gunter Methodist Church in Butterfield. Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Clyde Thomas, of Butterfield; one daughter, Tracy Poole and her husband Tom, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two grandsons, Alan Poole and Ryan Poole; one granddaughter, Rachel Poole; one brother, Kenny House and his wife Carol, of Cassville; one sister, Pat Allison and her husband Floyd, of Cassville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Todd Alan Thomas and Bobby Ray Thomas; one granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Stillings; and five brothers who all passed away during their infancy. In lieu of flowers, Linda requested that memorial contributions be made to the Gunter Cemetery and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Gunter Methodist Church in Butterfield, with Pastor Jerry Nickle and Pastor Mike Tharp officiating; burial to follow at Gunter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. |
