| Text | #1. Aug. 20, 1896, Thursday, Cassville Republican Died at Jenkins, D. D. Thomas, age 76. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. #2. Oct. 22, 1896, Thursday, Cassville Republican Capt. Geo. R. King was called home to Jenkins, Wednesday morning to conduct the funeral serviced over D. D. Thomas, better known as Doc Thomas, who died Tuesday from the effect of a recent fall from a mule. Mr. Thomas was a member of Co. L., 4 Ark., and one of the old Settlers of the county, being about 76 years of age. The remains were interred in Spring Hill Cemetery. Research Note: Either the paper was dated incorrectly or it took awhile for the paper to publish it. |
