| Text | Azalene Thomas, 95, of Monett, died at 2:40 p.m. yesterday, January 11, at Cox Monett Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was born July 16, 1909, in Barry County, the daughter of Elbert and Cordeilla (McCellan) Crouch. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett. She married Wayne Thomas on May 2, 1927, in Verona, and he preceded her in death March 11, 1987. Survivors include one son, Kenneth Thomas of Billings; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Thomas Jr.; and one daughter, Phillis Washburn. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 14, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Dr. Bill Cox officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. |
